Following the Change of Chief of Office Ceremony of The Chief Surgeon Navy (TCSN) was the Testimonial Review and Retreat Ceremony to honor the former TCSN, Col Juanito C Allas Jr MC (GSC) at Headquarters Philippine Navy (HPN) Ceremonial Area, Naval Station Jose V Andrada, 2335, Roxas Blvd., Manila. The event headed by the Chief of Naval Staff, Commodore Jesus C Millan AFP was made last March 22, 2013.

The event was highlighted by the presentation of the Philippine Flag, Command Plaque and Plaque of Honorable Service to the honoree who served as the TCSN from 10 October 2010 to 20 March 2013.

After 25 years and 6 months of his faithful and honourable service rendered to the AFP’s Medical Corps, Col Allas said, “Today, I close another chapter of my life, the military life with mixed emotions”, as he thanked all the people that made his stay and service to the military and in the Navy worth keeping and something to be proud of.

“Although this is the end of my journey as the military doctor, I will still be with you in spirit, in friendship and the never-ending quest for a better if not the best medical service there will be in our lifetime” he added before he uttered his final words with full of gratitude and pride for being part of the Armed Forces’ Medical Corps.
