Manila Naval Hospital (MNH) in cooperation with Armed Forces of the Philippines Medical Center (AFPMC) conducted a blood-letting program yesterday (September 25 2012) dubbed as “Blood Donor Day” with the theme: “Every Blood Donor is a Hero” at MNH Gazebo, Naval Station Jose Francisco, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. This is in connection with the 38th Founding Anniversary of MNH which will be celebrated on October 3, 2012. Colonel Juanito C Allas Jr MC (GSC), the Navy Chief Surgeon was the Guest Speaker of the said event.

A total of 62 individuals composed of Philippine Navy officers and enlisted personnel as well as civilians donated blood. This event aims to provide MNH sufficient supply and stock of blood for patients who are in need.

Manila Naval hospital is a support unit of Philippine Navy which provides hospital and out-patient services to PN personnel and dependents. It is commanded by Colonel Ramon S Tan MC (GSC).
