PN Logistics Run Mission and Southern Cruise of PMA Class 2014

The Philippine Navy (PN) conducts a logistic run (LOG Run) mission on 02 to 17 April, jibes with Southern cruise of PMA Class of 2014. Around 350 personnel composed of PMA 3rd Class Cadets together with their training staff joins the said mission.

RADM JOSE LUIS M ALANO, Commander Philippine Fleet and Commo JAMIE S BERNARDINO, Commander Fleet-Marine Ready Force leads the Send- Off Ceremony of Philippine Navy Logistics Run Mission and Southern Cruise of PMA Class 2014 at Naval Base Heracleo Alano, Sangley Point, Cavite City.

The LOG Run mission is an initiative of the PN that would cater to the requests of concerned AFP units on the availability of sealift transport, as it gives them the opportunity to convey necessary logistics from Manila to their respective units. One transport vessel BRP Dagupan City (LC551) and one escort vessel BRP Iloilo (PS32) will be dedicated as plat forms for the said mission.

On the other hand, the Southern Cruise is part of the curriculum enhancement of PMA that allows the exposure of the Cadets on other AFP units and establishments with clear views and better appreciation of the AFP’s organization.

A Task Group (TG “PAGLALAYAG”) is organize to provide command and control to supervise contingent’s activities during the brief stopover in selected port of calls.
